SAP HANA Infrastructure
- Database shifts from storage to RAM
- Entire system on Server, closer to supercomputer
- OLTP and OLAP in one database
As a result, SAP HANA infrastructure is closer to supercomputer than a regular computer.
The paradigm shifts also mean SAP HANA places a tremendous emphasis on infrastructure and calls for extremely sophisticated and advanced skills in its design and deployment.
You can’t under provision the infra since SAP is a mission-critical application. Outages and performance bottlenecks can cause havoc to your business. At the same time, you can’t blindly overprovision the infra since it will significantly impact TCO.
It’s extremely important to optimize SAP HANA infra, which is very different from SAP ECC infra sizing.
Whether you are upgrading your on-premise SAP or migrating to the cloud or just refreshing your SAP infrastructure with the decision on version to be decided later, Unique Solutions can roadmap your infrastructure journey to achieve the most impactful results across compute, storage, networking and security. We combine vast expertise and over fifty person years of experience to deliver compelling value for infrastructure for your SAP HANA transformation initiatives. We have amongst the highest installed base among SAP infra vendors, with a total of 75 SAP customers, of which over 25 are using SAP HANA.
Our customers span both Certified Hardware Appliance Approach and Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) deployment models, which are defined by Gartner as follows:
Certified Hardware Appliance Approach. Strategic hardware partners use this approach to define, certify and optimize reference architecture configurations for specific SAP HANA workloads. Appliance and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions include pre-certified software and preconfigured hardware that are delivered ready to run. Hardware vendors closely work with SAP to create predictable outcomes for users, and to provide reliable support and escalation metrics for live environments.
Tailored Data Center Integration (TDI) Approach. With this model, customers select the hardware on which they want to deploy SAP HANA. This allows users to leverage existing infrastructure, including hardware, OS, virtualization, storage and software. Customers using the TDI delivery model are responsible for installing and configuring the software and hardware.

Application Based Sizing
Did You Know?
According to Forrester, 70% of enterprise data is never used.
This proves to be a very important observation in the context of SAP HANA memory sizing since all the data moves from storage to RAM. Overprovisioning RAM can be very costly because it will significantly impact TCO.

We pride ourselves on our ability to understand your overall application landscape before proposing infrastructure sizing.
SuSE Clustering for High Availability
Did You Know?
SuSE Linux provides high availability solutions that deliver equivalent protection as other HA systems at a fraction of their cost.
Did You Know?
SuSE Clustering can be used to cluster servers all over the world.
SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension is an industry-leading open source high availability clustering system designed to virtually eliminate unplanned downtime, be easy to use and be deployed in both physical and virtual environments. It also includes Geo Clustering, designed to manage cluster servers in data centers anywhere in the world. High availability clustering helps to minimize data loss due to corruption or failure by protecting your data assets using your existing IT infrastructure.
High availability clustering is used to automate application and data recovery. You can use our flexible, policy-driven clustering solution to implement highly available Linux clusters and eliminate single points of failure. Your servers are continuously monitored, and when a fault or failure occurs, the workload is transferred from one server to another, or the application is automatically restarted on a known working system. This helps you maintain business continuity and minimize unplanned downtime.
But SuSE Clustering is complicated for SAP HANA installations. While it enables SAP HANA customers to recover data easily and eliminate single point of failure, it is not every vendor’s cup of tea.
Not surprisingly, most SAP HANA Infrastructure vendors lack the expertise to implement SuSE Clustering.
But SAP is equally mission-critical for small and midsized companies.
We offer our expertise in designing and implementing SuSE Clustering at very attractive prices along with the rest of our SAP HANA infrastructure.
Unparalleled Installed Base
We have an unparalleled Installed Base of nearly 75 customers using our infrastructure for SAP including ECC and HANA. Our sites span both Certified Hardware Appliance Approach and Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) deployment models.
